New fully automated HER2 APP - Optimized for HER2 low (Sneak Peak)

A fully automated single-cell approach for whole slide HER2 IHC quantification aligned with ASCO/CAP guidelines.

Recent advancements in antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) have introduced more nuanced classifications to HER2 IHC scoring, like HER2-low (1+ and 2+ without gene amplification) and even HER2-ultralow (detectable but less than 1+). These classifications, supported by clinical trials such as DESTINY-Breast04 and DESTINY-Breast06, expand treatment options to include therapies like trastuzumab deruxtecan (TDXd) for a broader range of patients.

How does our new HER2 algorithm* fit in?

The new APP offers a nuanced and detailed analysis of HER2 expression, allowing pathologists to more confidently identify HER2-low and HER2-ultralow cases while optimizing the 2+-rate to limit expensive reflex testing.

A best practices framework for spatial biology studies in drug discovery and development: enabling successful cohort studies using digital spatial profiling

Krull, D., Haynes, P., Kesarwani, A., Tessier, J., et al. published a best-practices framework for spatial biology studies using GeoMx DSP. The authors demonstrate how digital spatial profiling can be optimized to overcome tissue sample constraints and enhance biomarker discovery. This framework empowers researchers to maximize insights from limited samples in spatial biology.

Visiopharm's Oncotopix® Discovery software was key to the image analysis process, specifically in selecting regions of interest (ROIs) and segmenting tissue compartments for precise analysis.
